Yes, I know you just packed away those bulky sweaters, scarves, hats and boots in exchange for lighter jackets, ballet flats, and skirts. But, now is the time to get your summer wardrobe in order! While the trends are ever changing and revolving, the attitude and comfort of summer is what remains the same. Take a peek at some of the hottest summer trends and how you can rock them this summer.

Monochromes, black and white to be specific, are quite the trend this season. Black and white threads have been spotted everywhere this season. Red carpet, cat walks, and sidewalks alike have been sprinkled with this salt and pepper trend.

While black and white monochrome threads are HOT; but don’t limit yourself to just this color combination. Try other colors such as emerald green, which happens to be the new black or maybe a red or a pink. No matter what you wear, a top, a bottom or even both; there’s absolutely no way you can go wrong with this trend.

Neon colors burst back onto the scene last year, but it appears as though this trend has made its way back around and has reappeared for 2013. Several designers incorporated neon colors into their looks this year and showed us that the use of neon colors doesn’t always have to appear clownish and like a blast from the past (the 80s to be exact). If you’re not one hundred percent sure of how to wear this look or if you think you might be uncomfortable, your best bet is to start small. Incorporate small neon pieces such as accessories, scarves, bangles, necklaces, earrings, and clutches.

Edgy Accessories

This season’s accessories do not include a lot of acrylic colorful pieces; instead we see a lot of metal. Metal cuffs, bracelets, bangles are all the rage this season. Along with punk inspired spikes, skulls, and chains. The great thing about all of these items is you can wear them in a more edgy style or you can mix a little edge with a little lady like and be one hundred percent on trend.ShopStyle

Whatever you choose to wear, however you choose to wear it, the most important thing is that you make it your own!
